New Program to Bring Talent to New Orleans

22 Nov 2011

intends to bring 25 well-connected people from the arts, biosciences, digital media and sustainable industries to the city during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week next March. The goal is to get the entrepreneurial community talking about New Orleans, and maybe bring some businesses its way. In addition to the participants sharing their experience via their own networks, the program will be filmed for a documentary premiering in October next year.

The program is a join initiative of Downtown Development District of New Orleans, Greater New Orleans and The Idea Village. “We believe our unparalleled economic opportunities and progressive energy make New Orleans one of the most attractive places in the world to start and grow a business,” DDD chief executive Kurt Weigle said via a press release. “NOLAbound will broadcast that message to the world.”

Applications close on December 16, and can be submitted via the NOLAbound website.
